On the 30th of May, we’ll be playing some Liquid DnB at the Liquid Lounge again. (Coincidence? Aliens!) With MC BASSLINE all the way from London behind the mic, and local Drum & Bass heroes dSully, Jet Li and my self behind the decks. Mark this date in your calendars, and don’t forget to like the official Facebook page to get the latest updates and news about Cork’s finest Drum & Bass nights :)
Yes, you read that right. It’s time to start looking for your dancing shoes. Next Saturday, the DISTRICT 174 is back at the Liquid Lounge. Supporting the legends will be the usual suspects and local heroes: Jet Li, Pat De Butcher and CAS:ET. Check out this Facebook event for more info, hope to see you all there ;)
Any Bass Heads in Cork? :) I know it’s the Cork JAZZ festival weekend this week, and I feel like a hypocrite because I was criticizing the lack of JAZZ music on JAZZ weekends earlier. Like last year, when the main event in the Cork Opera house was Nile Rodgers with Chic. I’d totally go if the tickets weren’t sold out, but how’s that JAZZ? Anyway, I digress… Liquid DnB can be pretty “jazzy”, so I hope it’s not too big of a deal if I advertise this gig for this JAZZ weekend :)
The legendary Calibre himself, and Bassline MC are visiting Cork this Saturday the 25th of October. Supported by the local DnB heroes, the show starts at 10pm at the Liquid Lounge on Marlboro street. Be there! Cork’s DnB scene needs you, now more than ever. Here’s the Facebook event page, please like it, share it and tell everyone about it.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all there ;)
After a few fairly successful nights at The Courtyard, Cork’s Drum&Bass crew is taking a small break this month. D1STR1CT 174 will be back on the 13th of September, so I hope to see you all there! :) Mark this in your calendars, make Facebook events, invite all your friends, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
In the mean time, you can listen to one of my older liquid mixes on YouTube
The Take Over was a huge success, and I’d like to say thank you to everyone involved, everyone listening, and everyone who visited the chat room during the show.
If you missed the livestream on After Dark Radio this weekend, don’t worry, all the mixes will get uploaded to mixcloud, soundcloud, and all the usual places.
My mix was unsurprisingly liquid Drum & Bass, and you can find it on Soundcloud too. If you’re more of a YouTube playlist kind of person, I got something for you too of course:
Those of you who know me will probably recognize most of these tunes, but I hope you’ll enjoy the mix nonetheless. Both Soundcloud and YouTube uploads have a full track list in the description, one of the tracks is my latest release Star we recorded with Aoriel. If you like it, and we hope you do, you can purchase the release from Beatport.
Don’t forget to also visit the STFU Records store, where you can buy music from the STFU Records DJs and producers who kept you entertained on Saturday :) Thank you for your support!
After a massive success of the first Take Over, the STFU Records DJ crew is taking over After Dark Radio again, on Saturday, the 5th of April. This 1o hour long event starts at noon, and I’ll be serving an hour of Drum&Bass :) Mark this into your calendars, I hope to see you in the chat room during the show.
Here’s a Facebook event to make it easier for you to share the love and invite your friends.
